| Welcome
to Photography with an Altitude.
I started
using a camera during a seven-week road trip from Chicago to many
of the western National Parks. That was in early 1970. My grandmother
had a Kodak 35mm rangefinder with all these dials on it. She gave
me a quick lesson and some film and off I went.
A few years later I purchased my first camera with the prize money
from the Kerker Quinn Creative Writing Award for Poetry from the
University of Illinois. I have never stopped photographing and
learning about photography. Now my journey takes me into the digital
world and Photoshop, which are both challenging and fascinating.
